Asb Polyfest 2007: Theme: “A Sun Sets A Day Is Born”
School: Epsom Girls’ Grammar School (Eggs); Leader: Rosie Ramanlal;
Dance: Mā’ulu’ulu (Group Sitting Dance); Punake: Tēvita Tu’inauvai ‘Asaeli; Translation: Dr ‘Okusitino Māhina

“Sun That Has Set, Sun That Has Risen”
1.My respect to the Sun That Has Risen
And the Sacred House of Moheofo clan
And the Flag that is presently hoisting
Combining Kauhala’uta and Kauhalalalo
Let me rejoice in the meaning of today
For the Fifth Aeon is now fulfilled (x2)

2.Who’ll forget who’ll no matter what?
Darkness has fallen all over the land
My dearest Friendly Islets and Aotearoa
Loss of beloved Pigeon of tangatafenua
Causing nostalgia for Kingitanga bearers
And desertion of royal residence ‘Atalanga

3.Memories do crop up for the Iron Rope
For his lasting visions in the South Seas
And his star-plucking from the planets
In seeking for places of opportunities
A source of pride for the whole of Tonga

4.Hey Tongans let us all be jubilant!
In having reached this very joyous moment
For an era has dawned in the Fifth Hero
Who has acquired hugely for Makamaile
Abundance in blessings for Friednly Isles
A marker yielded for our treaty keeping

5.A new day has come to light in Tupou V
Long-live-the-king is our sincere wish
May the victor of Tonga be in good health
Lest he forgets the most precious treasure
The one that was given at Pouono by Tupou I
Which is what Tongans are boastful about
Namely, God and Tonga are My Inheritence

6.Now that my performance is over
I must return to the place I endear
To the marvelled Lion of Silver Road
And perform my utmost duty to eggs
In duly search for the enlightenment
The very torch that lights up the way
